We recently had the pleasure of helping select hardware for the Birmingham metro area’s hottest new hotel!
As part of the Curio Collection by Hilton, the brand new Valley Hotel is situated in the friendly, walkable neighborhood of Homewood, where you will find local retail, restaurants, and galleries mere steps away.
We were thrilled that Capstone Building Corp. and Robins & Morton brought us onto the project knowing we had the best hardware for their fabulous new hotel. They showed us model rooms of what they were looking for, and we found the perfect pieces to accompany the spaces.
First, Valley Hotel needed big, impressive hardware for the ballroom doors. The door handles needed to make a statement, but not be too flashy. We knew Rocky Mountain Hardware had the perfect unique pieces for this application. Rocky Mountain Hardware prides themselves on detail, personalization, and recycling. All of their products are cast in bronze and contain a minimum of 90% post-consumer recycled content. Each piece is then finished with their eco-friendly patina process to create the beautiful hues in which they are known for.
The Valley designers wanted to make the guest rooms feel residential in nature, but contemporary. They needed hardware that would last a long time--durable and not dated, so we chose the Blackrock collection by Amerock. It is sleek in design but functional; not too modern, and it will be in style for years to come. Furthermore, Amerock brand products have a lifetime finish guarantee, so we know they will last!
And last but not least, our parent company, HGH Hardware Supply, furnished guest room closet rods inside the closets of guest rooms. Our closet rods come in different finishes and shapes depending on your needs, but a traditional chrome round rod was chosen to be used here.
We were so excited to see the end result. If you’re not local to Birmingham, now is the time to plan a visit! And if you are local, tell your out of town friends and family, and be sure to check out the Ironwood restaurant yourself--they didn’t need our hardware, but we hear it is delicious.
